Last Thursday (11), RenovaBR started a new Continuing Education course for leaders trained by the network. The \u201cMunicipal Management and Election 2026: Political-Institutional Balance in Local Mandates\u201d is a training promoted in partnership with the Organization of American States (OAS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The training is coordinated by Silverio Zebral, coordinator of the OAS and Humberto Dantas, political scientist and Education coordinator at RenovaBR, and reinforces the school's commitment to offering ongoing training for municipal leaders, preparing mayors, deputy mayors, secretaries and councilors to improve the political performance of leaders, especially in the context of the general elections in 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course addresses central themes of Brazilian political and federal dynamics, highlighting the role of local party networks in consolidating state and federal candidacies and the impact of these exchanges on municipal public policy planning. Throughout the training, leaders will be able to reflect on management strategies aligned with the challenges identified in their cities, strengthening local political activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Divided into six two-hour online modules, the course will also include in-person training for the highest-performing students with a minimum attendance of 75%. The first module included the institutional opening of the two groups\u2014one for mayors, deputy mayors, and secretaries, and the other for city councilors\u2014and the presentation of the results of the diagnostic questionnaire, which identified the main challenges faced by municipal leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afterwards, the leaders and state deputies for Maranh\u00e3o and Acre, Carlos Lula and Michelle Melo, respectively, spoke to the students, providing a moment of conversation about political-party articulations and their impact on local administrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course will feature professors and leaders who will share their expertise in public management and local governance. Faculty members include Selene Peres, Rafael Ornelas, Guilherme Mundim, and Rodrigo Tortoriello, who will lead classes on the challenges of tax collection, health, basic sanitation, and urban mobility, providing participants with technical and practical knowledge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Complementing these classes, the debates will be enriched by Alumni trained by RenovaBR, such as the mayor of Bezerros (PE), Lucielle Laurentino; Fernando Bezerra, re-elected mayor of Acari (RN); the deputy mayor in Tracunha\u00e9m (PE), \u00c1urea Galdino; and Lucyan Rezende, deputy mayor of Dom Pedro (MA), who will share their experiences within the course theme. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
