On Tuesday evening (September 2nd), RenovaBR held the launch class for Brazil Renewal Day, bringing together leaders from the 2025 Leaders Training class and the Alumni community to share information on the next steps for the activity. The meeting was attended by strategic partners and inspiring voices from the network of leaders from previous training programs, who shared their experiences with the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brazil Renewal Day emerged during the 2019-2020 training cycle and has since been implemented in RenovaBR training programs as a time for students to develop political projects that can strengthen their communities. Since then, leaders have been implementing their impactful projects. This year, RenovaBR is partnering with the Transforma Brasil Institute to host the event, which will take place on October 25, the date that marks Democracy Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past few years, Brazil Renewal Day has led to 1,016 projects taking place in 591 municipalities across the country, impacting 4 million people, directly and indirectly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the class, Rodrigo Cobra, executive director of RenovaBR, welcomed the students with an institutional opening address about the importance and scope of the project. Next, Marjorie Lynn, director of Education, along with Jun Tanikawa and Gabriella Prado from the Education and Community teams, explained the details of the activity to the class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2025, training projects must be based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda, and to reflect on each of them, the meeting was attended by Maria Gouveia, RenovaBR Alumni and founder of Bridges for Tomorrow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
