The rules follow a preference criterion established by electoral legislation, ensuring that people with special needs and certain groups can exercise their right to vote more quickly and without setbacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Groups that have priority in voting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the groups that have priority are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Elderly people over 80 years old<\/strong>: They have absolute priority over all other voters, regardless of the order in which they arrive at the polling station;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Candidates<\/strong>: Those running for public office also have priority in voting;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electoral Justice officials, prosecutors, electoral judges and military police officers on duty<\/strong>: To ensure that they can fulfill their duties in supporting the election, these professionals have priority to vote;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Elderly people aged 60 and over<\/strong>: They have priority in the voting queue;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pregnant women, nursing mothers and people with babies<\/strong>: These groups are served with priority to facilitate the voting process;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sick, obese or disabled people<\/strong>: They also have the right to vote with priority, together with their companions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Exceptions and order of arrival<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The general rule that prevails among voters with priority is the order in which they arrive in the queue. However, voters over 80 years of age have absolute priority, even if they arrive later than the others. In addition, blood donors who present proof of donation within 120 days also have priority when voting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The importance of respecting priority on voting day<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The priorities established by the Electoral Court aim to ensure accessibility and inclusion of all groups in society in the electoral process.
