RenovaBR’s Director of Institutional and International Affairs, Bruna Barros, spoke at the Skoll World Forum 2025, one of the world’s most important events dedicated to social innovation. She was part of the panel “Building citizen-led movements to reshape civic life”, on April 2, at 10:30 am (local time), in Oxford, UK.

Held annually by the Skoll Foundation, the Skoll World Forum brings together leading global leaders committed to social change. The 2025 edition will feature names such as Malala Yousafzai (Nobel Peace Prize laureate and co-founder of the Malala Fund), Trevor Noah (communicator and founder of the Trevor Noah Foundation), Christiana Figueres (former executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change), Dr. Denis Mukwege (Nobel Peace Prize laureate and founder of Panzi Hospital), Bill Drayton (founder of Ashoka) and Darren Walker (president of the Ford Foundation).

“RenovaBR’s presence at the Skoll World Forum represents an important international recognition of the work we have developed in the organization. In a global scenario where there are still few Brazilian institutions with an active presence in this type of space, the participation reinforces the relevance of the school in the political and social innovation agenda”, highlights Bruna Barros, who is also a fellow of the Skoll Foundation. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the Brazil Action Platform (BAP), of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt.

In recent years, RenovaBR has expanded its global operations, with initiatives aimed at strengthening democracy in different Latin American countries. In 2024, it became a founding member of Democracia+, an unprecedented coalition led in partnership with VélezReyes+, which aims to qualify political leaders in countries such as Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Costa Rica and Argentina.
