RenovaBR ends the first season of the series “Gente que Renova”

RenovaBR closes the first season of the series “Gente que Renova”, which throughout its episodes presented more than 50 inspiring stories, highlighting the significant impact of education and political training in the Brazilian context. The narratives humanize the process of political renewal, in addition to demonstrating how committed individuals can transform realities.

During the first season, personalities such as Kayo Amado, mayor of São Vicente/SP, shared their personal journeys of questioning and action, highlighting the importance of actively engaging in the search for solutions to the country's social and political challenges. “I decided to be part of those who help respond to these problems,” he said.

“I believe in the power of education to transform our country”, he stressed Amália Tortato, councilor in Curitiba/PR, who expressed her conviction in the transformative power of education as a means to shape a more just and egalitarian future. Loreny Caetano, federal deputy/SP, highlighted her commitment to leaving a legacy through her political activities. “For me, it would only have been worth it if I left a legacy, if I contributed to other women being elected.”

Second season of the series “Gente que Renova”

With the end of this first season of “Gente que Renova”, RenovaBR reinforces its commitment to political renewal and education of the country's leaders. 

Soon, the second stage which will bring even more depth and insights into the importance of education and political participation. The new phase will continue to feature interviews with advisors, supporters, alumni and institutional partners, enriching the debate on how to strengthen Brazilian democracy through citizen participation and inspiring leadership.

The next cycle will delve deeper into the success stories and challenges faced by the protagonists of Brazilian politics, and seeks to inspire greater participation in building a fairer and more democratic future for all Brazilians.

2024 Elections Training

RenovaBR successfully completed the formation of the classes of 2023/2024, preparing a new generation of political leaders for the 2024 elections. With a rigorous selection process that attracted more than 30 thousand interested parties and received more than 21 thousand applications, the training had, in total, 2,103 new students and welcomed 95 alumni.

Diversity was significantly present in the classes, with 50% women and 53% black, brown and indigenous people. The students come from 25 states and the Federal District, and represent 28 parties, reflecting the scope and diversity of RenovaBR.

In the end, the training resulted in more than 1,500 new qualified leaders, with a completion rate of 71%. Among the graduates, 48% are women and 51% are black, mixed race and indigenous.
