Highlights

Strengthening democracy increasingly depends on collaboration between different organizations committed to developing qualified political leaders. It was in this context that RenovaBR participated in the Democracia+ network meeting, held between March 12 and 16 in Lima, Peru.

Bringing together political training schools from Latin America dedicated to renewing the leadership landscape, the network meeting allowed participants to discuss the current challenges facing Latin American democracy. Representing RenovaBR were the executive director, Rodrigo Cobra, the director of Education, Marjorie Lynn, and Gabriel Morais, director of Institutional Relations.

The agenda began by bringing together experts and leaders to discuss the region's current political climate and possible ways to strengthen democratic institutions. In the following days, representatives from each organization participated in learning sessions with discussions on school impact assessment, technological innovation, and the development of training programs.

The space facilitated exchange between organizations, opening up opportunities for a collective review of the training offered, sharing of best practices, and identification of regional cooperation opportunities, aiming to broaden the impact of initiatives. More than just a space for debate, the meeting consolidated a collaborative network that believes that improving policy is an essential step in increasing public trust in democracy.
