Continuing its commitment to political renewal and improving public management, RenovaBR, in partnership with FIPE (Fundacão Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas), held, between December 11, 12 and 13, an exclusive training aimed at elected mayors and deputy mayors.
The initiative, in addition to reinforcing the mission of transforming Brazilian politics, aimed to provide these leaders with practical and theoretical knowledge to face the daily challenges of public administration. With a focus on transparency, ethics and efficiency, the program also sought to promote the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of a collaborative network among municipal managers from across the country.
Learning for municipal leaders
The training brought together 60 mayors and deputy mayors from different regions of Brazil. This year, 42 leaders were elected to the position of mayor and 24 to vice-mayor, providing an interactive learning environment based on practical experiences.
During the program, participants had the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics relevant to municipal management, including strategies to transform government plans into concrete and efficient actions, ways to improve relations with the population through technological tools, mapping strategic actors and building collaboration networks, in addition to defining goals and measuring results for public policies.
“Our main goal is to train leaders committed to efficient and transformative municipal management. This training allows mayors and deputy mayors to expand their capacity to plan and implement impactful public policies, always focusing on transparency, innovation and connection with the real needs of the population. We are investing in tools and practical experiences so that these leaders can transform their government plans into concrete actions that improve the quality of life in Brazilian cities,” says Rodrigo Cobra, Executive Director of RenovaBR.
Exchange of experiences and collective solutions
The program also included discussion groups between reelected mayors, who shared success stories in public management, and practical workshops led by experts such as Humberto Dantas and Fred Perillo. “Collective learning is a powerful training tool. When managers share their experiences, they create an environment rich in ideas, where innovative solutions can emerge and be adapted to different realities,” highlighted Humberto Dantas during one of the workshops.
The workshops included activities such as mapping municipal secretariats and chambers, reflections on communication of government plans and strategies for integration between the Multi-Year Plan (PPA) and management objectives.
The consolidation of a new policy
The partnership with FIPE reinforces RenovaBR's commitment to training leaders committed to transparency and ethics.
